It started with what should’ve been a simple workout. Our founder, Mekala Jagapathi, a long-time fitness enthusiast, walked into his local gym one morning only to find confusion instead of clarity. Trainers were running late. Sessions were cancelled. Diet charts were misplaced. And members stood waiting, unsure what to do next.
The gym floor ran on discipline but behind the desk, it was pure chaos. That’s when a simple question hit him:
Over the next few months, Mekala spoke to hundreds of gym owners, trainers, and members across India — from boutique studios in Hyderabad to large fitness centres in Bengaluru. Every story sounded the same.
Owners buried under manual renewals and Excel sheets. Trainers juggling clients and missing payments. Members losing motivation after a few missed sessions. Local gyms losing ground to big franchise chains not for lack of passion, but for lack of tech. The fitness industry didn’t lack effort. It lacked structure, visibility, and a connected system that made running a gym as simple as joining one.
